Not a claim that we are scientists, measuring fit between furniture and people – this simply means that there is planning and logic behind every kitchen we make.
Therefore each is comfortable and good to use. Cupboards are the right height. And in the right place in relation to work surfaces, the hob, the cookers. Drawers are where you need them. And open properly. Cooking equipment is in the logical place and is the right type. Storage is thought of in terms of type – equipment, food and so on. Would a pantry be a good idea? Could well be. Fine, we'll build one.
Space, big or small, is used not just to best effect but so that things work for you. A kitchen isn't just a rectangular space to be kitted out with boxes of a type and shape for the builder's convenience. It's a working area, And there is no need for you to have to get used to avoiding banging your head on cupboard doors, or struggling to get something out of an oven installed – ridiculously - at floor height. It is a room which should be a pleasure to be in.
